Philip Cozzera and Robert Chandler, two visionary leaders, CEO and CTO of WordWare AI are joining us to share their insights.
As the CEO and CTO of WordWare AI, they are on a mission to democratize the development of AI-driven applications, empowering domain experts and non-technical users to harness the power of large language models (LLMs) without the need for extensive coding expertise.
In a recent interview, Philip and Robert shared their insights into the challenges and opportunities presented by the current state of AI development. They emphasized -
the inherent non-deterministic nature of LLMs, which can make it challenging to create reliable and predictable AI-powered applications.
However, they believe that this very characteristic also presents an opportunity for creativity and innovation.
"Working with these things which change and shift and we can no longer do a very strict IF statement, that's definitely very difficult for people to grasp," Philip explained. "But we see this non-deterministic nature as almost equal to creativity, and that's where the heart of our product lies."
This philosophy has led the WordWare team to develop a unique platform that allows users to create AI agents and workflows through a collaborative, prompt-based interface. Rather than relying on traditional programming languages, WordWare empowers users to leverage natural language to define the tasks and behaviors of their AI agents.
"We're building the first community of people where they can take their prompting and take their ideas, create these workflows or kind of little blocks of LLM interactions, and share them with the community," Robert said. "With one click of a button, you get an API which you can plug into your code, or you can just click 'share' and that gives you a hosted application that you can show off to the world."
This approach is particularly beneficial for domain experts and non-technical users who may have valuable insights and ideas but lack the coding skills to bring them to life. By providing a user-friendly, low-code environment, WordWare is opening up the world of AI development to a much broader audience.
"We're seeing people who are analytical and can do a little bit of Python, but then you tell them, 'Hey, spin it up on a website with a front-end and put a bunch of LLMs together,' and they just panic," Robert explained. "This is where WordWare comes in, giving them the tools to take their domain knowledge and turn it into practical AI applications."
The potential of this approach is vast, as AI agents can be applied to a wide range of industries and workflows. From optimizing crop management for farmers to automating legal document retrieval, the WordWare platform is empowering users to tackle complex problems in innovative ways.
"A farmer can write a program which will try to optimize how he should move the crop based on the weather and a bunch of factors that I have no clue about, and neither any software engineer has any clue about," Philip said. "That's why we want for these AI officials who are early on and they're intelligent, analytical, and know their domain – give them the right tool to be able to instill their knowledge and give it to LLMs in the right manner."
